Keeper brought in on loan from Gateshead

Whitley have signed goalkeeper Harrison Bond on a one year loan deal from National League Gateshead.

The 19 year old was formerly at Sunderland, progressing to the Under 23 side before joining Gateshead in the summer. He also had a loan spell at Shildon last season.

Bay manager Nick Gray commented "I'm delighted to get Harrison on board. I know him from working with him when he was at Sunderland and he has a very bright future ahead of him.

"We have a very good and able keeper in Dan Lister however with us hitting a sticky patch we need competition in every position to push us further to progress as a team."

Harrison comes straight into the squad for tonight's game at Tow Law.

We would like to welcome Harrison to Whitley Bay and hope he enjoys his time with us.
