Whitley Bay Football Club has launched a project to raise funds for new floodlights.
The existing lights have served the club extremely well over the years but will soon need to be replaced.
The Club is looking into possible grant funding for the project but will need to raise a significant proportion of the cost.
The first in a series of events aimed at raising funds for the new floodlights is a Sport and Fun Night at Hillheads next Thursday 13th October featuring Radio Newcastle’s Matthew Raisbeck and Paul Dixon, and Bay management team Nick Gray and Liam McIvor. Tickets are just £10 per head, to include a pie and pea supper and they have been selling very well. There are still a limited number of tickets available but to avoid disappointment please book as soon as possible.
All the money raised will go directly into the ‘Light up the Bay’ new floodlights fund, for which we have set up a Just Giving page.
Please support the Club at this event and help ‘Light up the Bay’.
For further information and to buy tickets please speak to Martin Kelly or Peter Siddle before, during or after this weekend's game against Whickham. Martin can also be contacted at martin.wbfc@gmail.com
