Whitley Bay have today completed the signing of highly rated young striker Eddie Thomas on a two month loan deal from Marske United. Last season the 20 year old was a member of Newton Aycliffe's Northern League title winning side, scoring an impressive 18 goals. In the summer he made two steps up the non league pyramid, joining Northern Premier League Premier Division side Marske.
Bay manager Nick Gray commented "I've watched Eddie's progress the last couple of years and Step 3 (Marske's current level) is at least where Eddie will play. I'm delighted we are being given the chance to help progress with his development and at the same time I know it will be very beneficial to Whitley Bay"
Eddie will be available for selection in tomorrow's game at league leaders Shildon.
