Fixtures for the 2023/24 Ebac Northern League season have been released and Whitley Bay will begin the campaign at home to Penrith on Saturday 29th July, in a repeat of last season's opening fixture. They are back at Hillheads the following Tuesday for a local derby against West Allotment Celtic. The first away game is seven days later with a trip to Sunderland RCA, who were reprieved from relegation despite finishing last season second bottom of the table.
The North Tyneside derbies are back this season with Whitley at home to North Shields on Boxing Day and the return fixture on Easter Monday.
Whitley are scheduled to face the two newly promoted sides on consecutive Saturdays with Boro Rangers visiting Hillheads on Saturday 21st October and Whitley travelling to Birtley Town a week later. We visit old friends Shildon, relegated back to the Northern League this season, on 30th September with the return game at Hillheads on 17th February.
Whitley have been drawn away to Seaham Red Star in the 2nd Round of the League Cup after both sides were handed a bye in the 1st Round. The date for this game has yet to be decided.
As always, league fixtures are subject to change especially where FA Cup and FA Vase ties are scheduled and take priority over league games.
The full fixture list can be found on the fixtures page of the website https://whitleybayfc.com/fixtures/ and on the Northern League website.
