The Northern League Cup will be held with a new format after the League decided that following delays due to Covid concerns, there would be insufficient time to play all the rounds of the traditional League Cup. This means that Whitley's scheduled 2nd Round tie away to Durham City will not now take place.
Instead, there will be separate First and Second Division competitions and in the draw for the First Division Cup Whitley have received a bye to the Second Round when they will travel to Sunderland RCA. The game will be played on Tuesday 8th March.
