Whitley's new manager Nick Gray has been busy bringing in new faces at Hillheads but his first signing has been midfielder Lewis Orrell, who only left the club at the turn of the year and returns after a short spell at Bishop Auckland. Gray commented. “He left before I arrived and I’m delighted that he wanted to come back.”
Of the new names, Oliver Cressdee is a striker from South Shields Academy who has also played at Hebburn Town. The manager described him as a quick player with very good potential. Isaac Libbote is a young 6ft 5in goalkeeper who is just moving into the senior game and should provide keen competition for Dan Lister. He is a member of the i2i International Soccer Academy, as is the fourth signing Brady Westin, who Gray describes as a tenacious and versatile defender.
“These are enthusiastic players who will get their opportunity despite their young age.”
