Ahead of yesterday's final pre-season fixture, Whitley completed the signing of two players who have been trialists in earlier games.
Lewis Suddick, grandson of former Newcastle and Blackpool star Alan Suddick, had a short spell at Hillheads in the 2018/19 season, since when he has played for Whitby Town, Hebburn Bishop Auckland and last season helped Ashington to runners up spot and promotion to the Northern Premier League. He is an attacking midfielder with plenty of pace.
Also joining us is central defender Lewis Scorgie who has spent much of his career to date at Newcastle Benfield, having previously played for North Shields, Wallsend and Hartlepool. The poerful defender has impressed in pre-season and becomes the sixth new signing of the summer.
We would like to welcome both Lewis's to Whitley Bay and hope they enjoy their time with us.
