Former favourite rejoins the Bay

We are delighted to announce that popular midfielder Wayne Phillips has returned to Hillheads. Early in his career the versatile left sided player who can also play as a defender was a member of Ian Chandler's Northern League championship winning side of 2006/07 but having played 61 games and scoring 19 goals his impressive performances attracted the attention of higher ranked clubs and he left to join Gateshead. After three years he moved on to Harrogate Town, then Blyth Spartans before twice winning the FA Vase, firstly at Spennymoor Town then at South Shields.

He joined Morpeth in 2017 where he played under manager Nick Gray. He spent five successful years there then left to join Hebburn Town last season. During pre-season he signed for North Shields but has now completed a move to Hillheads.  We would like to thank the Robins for their co-operation with his transfer.

Welcome back to Hillheads Wayne!
