We are delighted to announce that Whitley Bay Football Club has a new shirt sponsor, Optimum Skills Limited.
Steve Kirsopp, one of the company’s directors, was present at Saturday’s game against Birtley Town when the new kit featuring the sponsor’s logo was worn for the first time.
Optimum Skills is a north east training provider, specialising in construction, business and digital training.
Steve told us “The construction training we deliver is to upskill existing construction workers, or if anyone wants to get in the construction industry we can provide the training to allow that to happen. On the business side we do things such as digital skills, upskilling people, management administration etc. We hope that being able to sponsor Whitley Bay FC will be a mutually beneficial relationship.”
The company is based in Newton Aycliffe with centres in Middlesbrough, Benfield in Newcastle and one next to Gateshead Stadium.
Steve explained that the link with the Club had been established through business contact with Bay chairman Paul McIlduff. “We’re really, really delighted about this sponsorship, especially after the spending the day here at Hillheads. It’s the first time I’ve been to grass roots football. I’ve really enjoyed it so I’m looking forward to coming to more games.”
Doubtless the 6-0 victory will have helped make Steve’s day and we look forward to welcoming him and Optimum Skills Limited to many more games in the future. We are extremely grateful for their support.
