The draws for the first two rounds of the FA Cup and FA Vase have been made and Whitley face a trip to Northern Premier League East Division side Bridlington Town in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup on Saturday 6th August. The winners of that tie will then be at home in the Preliminary Round to another side from that League, former local rivals Dunston, on Saturday 20th August.
Whitley have visited Bridlington several times in the FA Cup, the last occasion being in 2014.
In the FA Vase, Whitley have received a bye in the 1st Qualifying Round and have been drawn at home to Northern League Second Division side Ryton & Crawcrook Albion in the 2nd Qualifying Round on Saturday 24th September.
